THANK U, NEXT // ARIANA GRANDE FRAGRANCE REVIEW

In today's post I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on Ariana Grande's latest fragrance release named after her iconic hit song and album - "thank u, next"! Enjoy!

I have been using Ariana Grande's fragrances for years and have absolutely loved every one of them. I compared her 4 previous fragrance releases in a recent post that you can check out here - it's one of my favorites!

"thank u, next" is an Ulta exclusive product that retails for $42 (1 oz), $52 (1.7 oz), and $62 (3.4 oz). A travel size is also available for $22 (0.3 oz). It is also sold internationally in Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada and Boots & Superdrug in the U.K. (prices may vary outside of the U.S.)

“I wanted to make a fragrance that smells related to my first fragrance Ari but more summery, so I revisited Ari’s fruity pear and raspberry notes and changed it up by adding some coconut. I was inspired to design a bottle that represented the message of my song “thank u next” – the emergence of the perfume from the broken heart represents moving forward from a challenging chapter.”

- Ariana Grande, when she announced the "thank u, next" fragrance

The packaging is so cute and fits the message of "thank u, next" so perfectly. It is similar to her last fragrance release, "Cloud" in that the simple circular glass bottle is displayed in a removable plastic base. "thank u, next" is in a base in the shape of a broken heart - which is so unique and unlike anything I've ever seen when it comes to packaging.

The broken heart base can be a bit bulky, especially if you buy the 3.4 oz (which is what I have). However since it is removable, it isn't really an issue because the bottle is easy to take in and out of the base. It also looks so cute and really stands out on my dresser next to my other perfumes!

Fragrance Notes:
Top: white pear, white raspberry
Middle: crème de coconut, pink rose petals
Base: macaroon sugar, velvet musk

When compared to Ariana's previous fragrance releases, "thank u, next" is very different. It has a heavy scent of coconut - not in an overbearing way, but it is the most prominent fragrance note. As I wear it longer throughout the day I notice other tones of the velvet musk and the pink rose petals start to come through and make it smell so beautiful. Just like all of Ariana's fragrances, you only need to spritz "thank u, next" a couple of times for it to last all day!

I agree with what Ariana said in regards to it being the more summery version of her first fragrance "Ari", with the faint notes of white pear and white raspberry. To balance the coconut scent out a little more I would've loved if they added a note of vanilla (but that's just my personal preference, though). The notes of coconut remind me so much of a summer scent, which is surprising that this was released in the beginning of fall - I definitely think it would've been more appropriate if this came out a few months earlier.

Overall, I really love this fragrance and recommend it to anyone interested in trying it out!

Thanks for reading! Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comment section below and let me know if you ever tried any of Ariana's fragrances! ♡
