My Favorite Lipsticks // #NationalLipstickDay 2019

In honor of today being National Lipstick Day, I wanted to share an updated list of my all-time favorite lipsticks! To check out my favorites from 2017 click here and from 2018 click here - Enjoy!

Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick // $17

My absolute favorite lipstick formula is the Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick! When it comes to matte liquid lipsticks, this is one of the most comfortable and the most long wearing from what I've tried. I know I can count on it looking perfect all day with minimal touch ups. All of the products I've tried from Kylie Cosmetics have been so high quality and well worth the hype it gets. These are an absolute must-have in my makeup collection!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick & Lip Ammo // $18

Tied as my favorite lipsticks are the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks. They come in a beautiful assortment of unique shades and finishes that no other brand carries. These lipsticks look like they have a matte finish, but feel more like a satin on the lips - therefore, it doesn't feel drying in the way similar products do. They have one-swipe pigment and last all day on the lips.

The Lip Ammo's are bullet lipsticks with extreme pigment. These feel so creamy on the lips and aren't drying at all. When I wear darker shades like Unicorn Blood, I typically gravitate towards a matte liquid lipstick to ensure it wont smudge or bleed throughout the day. I was initially unsure how I would like a buttery, moisturizing lipstick in such a dark shade, but it surprisingly stays in place as if it were a long-wear matte formula. That particular lipstick is one of my absolute must-haves and I truly can't recommend it enough!

The shade Alien Tears is also a Lip Ammo, but it has a translucent base infused with multi-colored glitter particles. It can be worn on it's own for an extra-terrestrial look, or it can be applied on top of any lipstick or underneath any gloss to add a glitter finish. This is such a fun product that can be used in so many different ways!

I can always count on any product from JSC to be consistent in producing high quality products that are well worth the price.

Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lipstick // $5

When it comes to bullet lipsticks, Flower Beauty is the best of the best! The Petal Pout Lipsticks come in a beautiful range of shades that would flatter every skin tone. It feels so comfortable on the lips and is very long-wearing.

I also love to use this lipstick as a crème blush - it's the perfect texture to be used on the cheeks and lasts just as well as it does on the lips. Both the formula and the packaging for all of Flower Beauty's products feels like a luxurious high-end brand!

Sephora Collection #LipStories // $8

The #LipStories line of lipsticks is one of the most underrated items in Sephora! They come in a huge range of shades and finishes with the cutest packaging. The formula is so moisturizing and wears off evenly throughout the day. Compared to everything else sold at Sephora, this product is surprisingly an affordable price, too!

Oui! (crème)

Frida Kahlo x Republic Cosmetics // $8

Another hidden gem at the drugstore is the Frida Kahlo collection from Republic Cosmetics. Republic Cosmetics is a brand based in Mexico that sells in select CVS stores in the United States. I love Frida Kahlo, so it was really exciting to find these! The primary ingredient is Castor Oil, which is a highly beneficial natural lip moisturizer - making it the perfect ingredient for a creamy lipstick like this. Each lipstick also has a different illustration inspired by Frida Kahlo's classic pieces of art and homages to her Mexican heritage. This is all-around a beautiful collection that more people should know about!

Colibri
Pasión

NYX Liquid Suede Metallic // $7.50

I've tried several different metallic liquid lipsticks, but none of them compare to NYX's Liquid Suede. Sometimes metallic lipstick can look patchy and unflattering, but this applies so evenly, lasts all day, and is flattering on the lips. I have the shade "Bella" which is a beautiful metallic bronze that is so perfect for the fall. I love the look of it on it's own, but to intensify the metallic shine, I love to add a metallic gloss on top (I recommend Wet n Wild "Rose Gold", or Kylie Cosmetics "Cupid"!)

Colourpop Lux Lipstick // 7.50

Out of all the products I've tried from Colourpop, their line of Lux Lipsticks are a stand-out product to me. They give the overall feeling (from formula, packaging, and overall presentation) of a high-end expensive lipstick - while still being very cost effective. These lipsticks have a matte finish with bold pigment in just one swipe. The shade "Snow White" is always my go-to red lipstick!
